P. C. Peay
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Oklahoma, seeking a PhD in American Politics and Public Policy. My studies focus on the impacts of race across American institutions, how considerations of race shape policy at the federal and state level, and how traditionally underrepresented populations are impacted by policy. I also have a specific concentration on electoral policy and their impacts on the shape of the American electorate. I am currently in the preliminary stages of the doctoral program and anticipate a May 2020 graduation.
I am a native of Southeast Texas. Prior to my enrollment in graduate studies, I spent 7 years working in secondary education in the Houston metropolitan area. Aside from my studies, I am an avid music connoisseur, an enthusiastic foodie, and a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
